August 22, 2006:  Tracy left today for Mrs. America.  She is rooming with Mrs. West Virginia and is very excited to meet her.  They arrive about the same time in Tucson.  She is suppose to call later tonight with an update.

She arrived safe and sound in Tucson.  Mrs. NJ was on her flight and they have become good friends already.

Tracy loves her roommate.  "She brought more stuff than I did!"  It must be a very crowded room!

August 23, 2006:  Tracy called around noon today.  She and her roommate got up at 5am to workout.  Then they had a light breakfast and were off to the hotel spa for a massage. Later they are planning on  doing some shopping.  Tonight is the first "official" Mrs. America event.

August 24, 2006:  Tracy called this morning while she was on the elliptical.  It's funny to talk to someone while they are working out.  The party last night was a lot of fun.  Great women.  She mentioned that Mrs. Florida is a West Point Grad and is hysterical.

Today they have rehearsals at 10 and tonight they are going to dinner with the Mayors of Arizona.  She promised to send photos and call later.

Yea, new photos.  Thank you Mrs. Arizona for helping Tracy email them. Rehearsals yesterday went well.  The choreographers are great!  They also found out that there will be a Top 12 instead of a Top 10.  The contestants can earn extra points through different competitions.  The first one was a diaper changing competition. Congratulations Mrs. Washington on your win.

August 25, 2006:  Today they went horse back riding than then were treated to a breakfast made by "real" cowboys.  Tracy said is was great fun but really warm!  Thank you Mrs. Maryland for loaning Tracy some jeans.  They had the afternoon off so off to the mall and tanning salon.  Tonight they went to a red carpet event and viewing of Breakfast at Tiffany's.

August 26, 2006:  Yea a morning to sleep in. They had the morning free.  Today they got their swimsuit and swimsuit shoes. Tracy's suit is aqua.  She really likes the color and style.  Rehearsals this afternoon and tonight is the president's party.

August 27, 2006:  Today we presented our state gifts to the Mayor of Tucson.  What a sweet and gracious man.  He had something nice to say about everyone's gift.  This afternoon we had rehearsals and tonight we went to a minor league baseball game.  We all sang the national anthem and Mrs. Arizona threw out the first pitch.

August 28, 2006: Today was a very busy day. We visited the Old Tucson Studios and Desert Museum. We participated in a good old western shoot out and watched as a few of the girls dressed up and did the Can-Can dance. We took a train ride around the park and were "robbed" by bandits looking for gold. After lunch we headed to the Desert Museum, which is essentially an outdoor wildlife museum. We have rehearsal tonight after dinner from 7-10, and then it was off to bed!

August 29, 2006:  Mrs. Arizona, Diane, and I then went to breakfast and loaded up on fresh fruit and eggs. We have already become really good friends.  This afternoon all of the contestants had our gift exchange. It was so exciting to receive so many creative gifts. Mrs. America, Andrea, arrived during our rehearsal. She is so beautiful and sweet. It was so nice to talk to her about her year as Mrs. America. It sounds like she had an incredible year. After rehearsal we had a delicious barbeque dinner catered by Texas Roadhouse. We ate dinner outside to enjoy the weather and beautiful sunsets.
